Redefining Masculinities - Exploring Masculinity and You
Date and time
Location
The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza
1125 N. McCadden Pl. Los Angeles , CA 90038Description
Many of us have a complicated relationship with Masculinity. It can be unavoidable as we move through this world. Masculinities aren’t singular though. There are infinite ways to own, explore, express, and relate with masculinities. Those relationships are both highly personal and highly public at the same time.
In this thoughtful, MONTHLY workshop, you will; through discussion and exchange of ideas, explore what it is to present/live/play with masculinities, and as a masculine person. You will explore what masculinities are authentic for you and how they relate with the world around us, and perhaps even some coping mechanisms for all the other times.
This discussion group is for all people and identities, who want to actively redefine and explore the possibilities of what it can and should mean to be masculine in this world. We encourage all participants to bring topics, questions, and issues of your own to share and explore!
*All work is done in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
